Within the project area are also located the natural monuments NM “Molassic Hills of Zvërnec”, NM “Limopuo Lagoon”, NM “Zvërnec Forest”, and NM “Narta Dunes” (mostly), declared by DCM No. 187, dated 25.03.2021 “On certain amendments and additions” to DCM No. 303, dated 10.05.2019, “On the approval of the revised and updated list of Albanian natural monuments”. Furthermore, we inform you that the terrestrial part of Sazan Island is not a Protected Area (PA). The protected area is the surrounding marine surface (partially), which is part of the Marine National Park “Karaburun–Sazan”, declared by DCM No. 59, dated 26.01.2022 “On the approval of changes in the surface of the aquatic/marine ecosystem ‘Karaburun–Sazan’, declared a ‘Marine National Park’ (Category II) of protected environmental areas”, specifically the Core Zone (CZ) and the Traditional and Sustainable Use Zone (TSUZ). Within Sazan Island there are two (2) natural monuments (NM): “The Coral Barrier of the Devil’s Gorge” and “The Cliffs of Sazan”, declared by DCM No. 187, dated 25.03.2021 “On certain amendments and additions” to DCM No. 303, dated 10.05.2019, “On the approval of the revised and updated list of Albanian natural monuments”. | E plotë | Nuk ka |

The research focuses on sampling species of Orthoptera (grasshoppers) in order to conduct genomic, phenotypic and population genetic analyses addressing questions of speciation, population structure, and biodiversity conservation. It is stated that sampling will be limited in number, conducted exclusively in areas open to the general public (e.g. trails and paths), and will have negligible impact on local populations. The planned research activities are intended to take place within the following protected areas, designated as National Parks (Category II) by Decision of the Council of Ministers no. 59, dated 26.01.2022 “On the Approval of the Change of Status and the Area of Natural Ecosystems ‘National Park’ (Category II) of Protected Areas”: Dajti Mountain National Park, Lurë–Dejë Mountain National Park, Alps of Albania National Park, Llogara National Park, Shebenik National Park. The research focuses on selected groups of insects and other organisms, including ants (Formicidae) and their associated species (Myrmecophiles), bees (Anthophila), wasps (Vespidae, Crabronidae and Chrysididae), beetles (Staphylinidae and Curculionoidea), spiders, pseudoscorpions and scorpions, as well as lichens (lichenized fungi). You have explicitly stated that no Lepidoptera species and no species protected under the EU Habitats Directive, CITES, or other protected categories will be collected.
