The Project Executing Agency (“PEA”), National Agency of Protected Areas on behalf of Ministry of Tourism and Environment of Albania, has received financing from KfW toward the cost of the “Transboundary Biosphere Reserve Prespa” (PRESPA-Albania), Phase II, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the “Construction of two new water ponds and reconstruction of three existing Water Ponds for livestock and wild animals in Prespa National Park (PNP) in five (5) selected areas of Prespa National Park (PNP)”, composed by one lot. The Project Executing Agency (“PEA”) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supplies and works on the “Construction of two new water ponds and reconstruction of three existing water ponds for livestock and wild animals in Prespa National Park (PNP) in five (5) selected areas of Prespa National Park (PNP)”, composed by one lot. In a potential follow-on phase of this procurement, offers for additional up to five water ponds in the area of Prespa National Park, as well as landscaping works around the Treni Cave in Prespa National Park may be requested. Works required in these infrastructure elements are expected to be largely identical regarding the specifications for works required. The contracting authority reserves the right to award the follow-on phase directly to the winning contractor if the criteria for a direct award are given i.e. the contractor’s performance under this procurement is satisfactory. Bidding will be conducted by means of the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure with qualification as specified in the KfW Guidelines for the Procurement of Consulting Services, Works, Plant, Goods and Non-Consulting Services in Financial Cooperation with Partner Countries dated January 2019 (“KfW Guidelines”).
